anyone can give me a cd key for battlefield 2142, thank you
Answer #1
CD keys are tied to accounts so it’s unlikely you will get one. Getting someone’s account is still a possibility though.

Got that internet Security 2010 Virus. Ran Malwarebytes 3 times now nothing. Wallpaper is “Your system is infected!” “system has been stopped due to a serious malfunction spyware activity has been detected” “it is recommeded to use spyware removal tool to prevent data loss. Do not use the computer before all spyware removed”
What should i do? Makwarebytes is not fixing the problem like it told me when i googled it
Answer #1
this is one of the bad ones..try running malwarebytes and superantispyware in safe mode..see if it can pick anything up
Answer #2
i just reinstalled my comp too man fmlll
Answer #3
you reinstalled after waiting 2 mins for a reply?..owell..how did it go..that should have done the trick if you did a clean install..might not have been necessary though
Answer #4
no, he means he reinstalled and got infected again, so he’s smiling.
go to safe mode, run a full scan with malwarebytes. delete what it finds… then download a program called hijackthis, and run it in normal mode. post the log results here, and it’ll be evaluated.
Answer #5
u have to reinsall windows and format ur whole hard drive
Answer #6
You need antivirus, malwarebytes is not enough. Get SuperAntiSpyware, Combofix, Avira and Comodo Firewall.
Answer #7
If you waited I could have helped you remove it. Oh well get a third party firewall as well as a antivirus. I recommend Avira along with Outpost Firewall.

is there anyway i can activate windows vista ultimate x32 after the trial period is over.
i forgot to activate the os when i formated and now i cant do anything, all the cracks ive downloaded and tried havnt worked, they fail in safemode, and when used anywhere else i just get an error that says “insufient quota to run command”
any and all help will be greatlt appreciated,
Answer #1
try download a prepatched version of vista and install..
Answer #2
thanks for you reply obviously no-one else seemed to want to help. but i really didnt want to format lol.
ive been able to fix my problem now so for all those people that get stuck with the same problem how i did it is below.
first turn your computer on DONT START IN SAFEMODE
when the computer loads you will be presented with a bunch of options
select the one that says run windows with reduced functionality.
now you have your default browser running, type into the address bar. C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe
when the command promt opens type in the following and press enter. slmgr -rearm
wait for a few seconds and you should be presented with a confirmation telling you to reboot your computer.
rebbot your computer and your copy of windows will be reactivated for another 30days. giving you plenty of time to activate the software.
You can only rearm your copy of windows 3 times. if you have already exceeded you limit then this will not work for you.

Can anyone help me with this question right i am thinking about buying a amazon Fire TV Stick for £35.00 on there site it has some apps like netflix and amazon and demand 5 and others you get on the stick but i would like to know can i get hulu on this device
or not i know that you have to install the apps is that right or are the apps built in also you put it into the hdmi port in the tv at the back which is ok cos
i have a hdmi port in my tv so that is ok and also can you record with this device onto the Fire TV Stick how does it work then do you just watch the stuff on the tv is that all you can do with this can you record onto the Fire TV Stick and then put the Fire TV Stick into the computer and can i get the video file from that and put it on the computer or not if anyone can help me with this that would be great
Answer #1
It’s far better a Raspberry PI.
Answer #2
so can you record then with the Fire TV Stick and do you get hulu with this device
Answer #3
if u can record – the question would be – is it worth it as it only has 8 gig of internal memory and apps proberly use a lot of this up.
As a stick for watching films on etc – it works pretty well.
Kodi and the addon packs work well on this – but still not as good as on a dedicated computer.
Answer #4
With a Raspberry PI you can do what you want. You can attach an external drive, you can put a 64gb SD card. You can even save the content directly to the computer. The Raspberry PI can do, for this use, everything a computer can do.
Answer #5
No, you can NOT record and NO it doesn’t come with hulu.
Get yourself a RPI2 and put kodi on it.
You’re good to go, after that.

how do i create a new user in ubuntu because i can’t install these programs on root and when i try to create a new user it says i dont have enough access to install them etc…
many thanks
Answer #1
http://www.sizlopedia.com/2008/04/16/how-to-login-to-ubuntu-as-root-user
But you should try and not use it.
What problems are you having with your current user?
Are you using sudo?
Answer #2
Never mind seem to have fixed it now, I had to add the user to sudoers (I was the user) and then at the final setup it wouldn’t let you run as root so I couldn’t use sudo. Then it did the configuration and couldn’t write the data so it was just endlessly trying to write data.
After 5 years google’ing I found a site that said to chown -R username /dir/ and I basically just gave the username access to / (everything…) that seemed to fix the problem :s
I’m sure there’s a better way around the problem than the way I did it, which is the reason why I didn’t edit the topic.

I had 20 GB unallocated partition on my drive and I used EaseUS partition master to create a drive but this is what happened you see in the pic. the drive is located before drive C. how can i put at the end ? I mean after drive H.
Answer #1
Why, in the name of all things unholy, do you have multiple FAT32 20GB partitions?
There is no fix, and it doesn’t matter. The letter is just a reference, regardless where the partition is physically stored on the HDD. Don’t stress over it.
Answer #2
Why, in the name of all things unholy, do you have multiple FAT32 20GB partitions?
then what should I do ? some years ago, the partition of my pc destroyed and I had to partition by myself and I divided it into 20 GB drives. and why I shouldnt have FAT32 ? it causes problem ?
Answer #3
FAT32 is antiquated, convert all partitions to NTFS.
You’d be better off having one Partition for your OS and one partition for your data ….. use folders instead of loads of different tiny partitions. If you have it this way, when your OS goes down all the stuff on the data partition will be safe if you have to reinstal the OS.
For a hard disk of that size 3 partitions max should be adequate.
Answer #4
FAT32 is antiquated, convert all partitions to NTFS. Very Happy
will i lose data if i convert NTFS ? and how much size should i allocate to OS drive ? i use XP and can not use win7 or 8 coz my RAM is only 1 GB.
Answer #5
No you don’t lose nothing if you convert to ntfs..Google fat32 to ntsfs..
But that doesn’t mean nothing can go wrong..
24 GB is not enough not even for XP…
I suggest you delete that J partition and add it to the C partition by resizing it..
Answer #6

Win7 32bit will run fine on 1GB of RAM. The best thing to do is backup all your data on a portable HDD, delete all partitions then install a fresh Win7. Allocate 40gb for system and the rest for data. 24GB is fine for XP, but that’s not the point. Win7 basic install only needs 16GB.
Answer #7
I agree..You actually need less than 20 GB if you are going to just install XP and never use it again..
Answer #8
Win7 32bit will run fine on 1GB of RAM.
the problem is currently i have 200 MB free RAM coz firefox uses 300 MB and kasper 200 MB and with other tiny stuff, only 200 MB is left.

That’s what paging files are for. It’s not an ideal system but it works.
How old is this PC? Can’t you replace it with something better for almost free?

Hey everyone, i just got my Western Digital 1TB hard drive and i connected it to the back of my computer. I noticed its going slow. Idk if this is normal but its copying at 15 mb/s is that slow, fast, or normal? Please help what should i do? Im trying to copy about 100 gigs atm lol
Answer #1
depends on drivers/usb particularly…i have the exact hdd and mine is pretty fast…i copy 700mb files to it in about 30 seconds or less
Answer #2
It’s definitely a bit slower than some drives, the USB 2 standard is rated for 440mbps, or roughly 40MB/s – do you have many other USB things plugged in at the same time?
Answer #3
USB is slow…should’ve gotten an eSATA or internal drive if speed was the concern.
Answer #4
USB is slow...should've gotten an eSATA or internal drive if speed was the concern.
True esata will be much faster but USB 2.0 has a raw data rate at 480Mbps thats not THAT slow
Answer #5
my printer is USB and i have other things connected shoud i unplug them? any other tips? im kind of disappointed
Answer #6
Take the drive out of the enclosure and connect it to your motherboard.
Answer #7
It’s a bit slow but not terribly so. An external drive is always going to be slower than internal one.
It should easily do your 100Gb copy overnight, and I doubt you’ll be wanting to copy that kind of volume on a regular basis.
Other things on USB shouldn’t make a lot difference unless the other devices are highly active, but it wouldn’t hurt to unplug them and see if the sped improves.
Answer #8
External USB2 HDDs are much slower then internals,ESATA is the fastest
external interface with USB3 2nd, As far as whether it’s normal I’d say not (Provided that the source is an internal HDD)
My external HDD writes at 22-23 MB/s and in various reviews
of external HDDs I’ve seen it’s always between 22-30MB so 15
is a bit low,Try another USB port.
Take the drive out of the enclosure and connect it to your motherboard.
If he wanted to do that he wouldn’t have bought an external to begin with! Not to mention doing so will void the warranty.

I have been having issues trying to get Watchdogs to run properly. At times the game would crash. Other times the system crashes. I would also get a message saying that the display or graphics adapter has stopped working and has now recovered. I tried reducing the graphical settings to low but to no avail. I have an iCore7 3.40 GHz Dell Desktop with Windows 7 64 Bit. I am using an XFX AMD Radeon HD 6870 1GB graphics card with a 600 watt Corsair Power Supply. I also have 12 GB of RAM.
Answer #1
have you tried updating to the latest AMD driver on your graphics card?
Answer #2
When I try to update the graphics card driver I get a message saying that the driver is already updated. I checked the requirements needed to run the game. The minimum requirement is a 1 GB graphics however; the recommended requirement is a 2 GB graphics card.
Answer #3
the 12 gb ram sounds weird.
how are they setup?

or else?
same speeds and timing?
Answer #4
12 is not weird at all.
Graphic card stopped working mean its either overheating or something is wrong. Can you run other games without problem? Try an clean uninstall of the gpu driver then install it again.
Also check and see if your card are overheating or not.
Answer #5
I read issues with AMD cards. Keep an eye on driver updates
edit: is last update for your drivers 4/25/14? (web site) They need to get up to speed
