Boot problems after installing win xp

January 31st, 2020

I had win 7 on my C:/ drive and I installed win xp on my D:/ drive.
Now when I turn on my pc and click F8, I can only see win xp on the list and if I start win xp, then I open msconfig and look at boot.ini and I can only see win xp …
How can I startup with win 7 again ?? and how do I delete the win xp installation without formatting the D:/ drive????
thanks in advance.

That’s because you wiped out windows 7 bootloader…Normally XP get installed first..
Use VistaBootPRO to add windows 7 to the boot menu…Or boot with your windows 7 DVD and do a boot repair…

thanks will try But can I use vistabootpro even if I’m running on xp?
Answer #3
I’m assuming VistaBootPRO works in XP…Never tried it tho..

I downloaded a custom version of vista, a version that only filled 150MB, and I can’t run it, I guess that’s the problem..
