BDRip Vs AXXO dvdrips

November 18th, 2020

just wondering if someone could help me with which is better an axxo rip or a bdrip?? thank you in advance
Answer #1
Depends more on bitrates and resolution than the source.
Answer #2
farout that was quick haha
do you no wat axxo resolutions is
Answer #3
Depends on the rip. Generally speaking, quality will be better for 2cd rips than 1cd rips. Other than that, 1cd rips are all pretty similar as are 2cd rips.
Answer #4
axxo is utter crap. actually i don’t think axxo is even axxo anymore. i read somewhere that axxo stopped encoding years ago and now others are just using the name axxo to get more downloads or whatever. anyways, “axxo” rips are about file size not quality.
i tend to prefer scene groups or if you want brrips stick with notorious p2p encoders like D-Z0N3, PRoDJi, CaLLioPE_MoNTEDiaZ and WHiiZz.
Answer #5
Earlier, axxo is the best ripper..
Now when BluRay came out, i feel its his time to start BRRips for 700MB to 1.5Gb….
Right now i am preferring BRRips and m-HD rips of 400MB-2GB……..
So, i would say goto BRRip for HQ………
EDIT:
Prefer SecretMyth releases dude…
They are the best BRRips for about 1.4-2.5GB……
For less than 1gB check rony or ultrascorp or shaanig releases here…
Answer #6
The original aXXo re-encodes were lower in quality than BDRips (because DVD’s were the source). BDRips have higher resolution and bit-rates.
Answer #7
^^^Ya…. Its true……..
BDRips and BRRips have better bitrates meaning much higher quality….
Stick to them
Answer #8
Nothing wrong with axxo rips, i never had any problems with them, BDrips might hv higher quality but if u want just a watchable dvd rip like anything else stick wid axxo
Answer #9
thanx everyone

Exactly.
aXXo hasn’t encoded in years, from what was released on the scene people said he was raided. Any “aXXo” encodes now are just people releasing with the name (because of the popularity of the name “aXXo”). His rips were not the highest quality during the day either, he was just popular.
Answer #11
brrips are files encoded from a blue ray rip. BD is from a blueraydisk directly i believe. the differences arent that much
Answer #12
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Axxo axxo hasn’t released anything since march 09
When I used to download axxo’s movies, they seemed good at the time. I’m now replacing all my movies because they look like ~love~. I much prefer m-720p.
Answer #13
ewsflash: Theres no magic involved, Scene Groups dont affect quality its the encoder (Software) and the bitrate/resolution that effects quality. Hell scene groups and encoders like X264BB and HDBB actuly reduce compression through the buse of freeware encoders like x264 and obsulete codecs like DTS.
H.264>X264>Xvid

I think it really just depends on what you want. BDrips are BlueRay, AXXO is usually DVD from what I understand.

BDrips are Blu ray compressed to the size/resolution of normal DVDrips. Higher quality being compressed will result in better quality as in theory you have “more” leeway to work with.

Last axxo release I watched a ways back sucked. Contained macro blocking, started abruptly and part of the ending credits was cut off. Audio wasn’t no bargain either.
The only way to go these days if you want quality is a 720p or 1080p Blu-ray rip. I always go for 720p because 1080p are too damn big, like 60 200MB parts or more. Sometimes over 100 parts.
Answer #17
i watch my movies on a 46 inch so i think my best bet it the bluray rips
