antivirus-spyware help

February 27th, 2021

I need help with the ratings of the top #5 software, that is either free, or paid. Pro’s and Cons of Each software.
I know these are the best but I want something that compares to a total protection software, such as Kaspersky, or AVG.
The Pro’s I want are, (fast, reliable, virus/spyware & malware detection and removal) and not a memory hog
I been using AVAST, Spybot Search & Destory, Emergency Emierson Kit(EEK) and Malware Bytes, but if I were to buy something like Kaspersky, I want something that isn’t a memory hog, I don’t know if Kaspersky is or not.
I know Norton, McAfee and AVG are all somewhat memory hogs. same way spybot search & destory

Answer #1
I feel Kaspersky is the best, and you can get a free trial, and keep resetting it with KRT or similar.. and as far as memory hogs go, that’s not necessarily a fact for most at least, because the one’s using more memory may be doing a more complete scan for malware.. and of course, you need to set up the antivirus properly so it minimizes the resources used, (without sacrificing the protection of course..)
Answer #2
You seem to have WAY too many different softwares; they probably result in more system usage than kaspersky ever will
Kaspersky is the best option if paid (cracked versions are very tiresome) Of course, a free and effective system would be Microsoft Security Essentials and Malwarebytes Or Avast! with malwarebytes
or avira with malwarebytes But really, its fairly obvious whether or not something you are downloading is a virus, so nothing really beats intuition
Answer #3
It also depends on how the AV is configured by default they tend to leave all the cpu heavy stuff off. Id also recommend you implement some basic operating system security

Windows Security 101 Don’t Use an Administrator Account for daily use and don’t Disable UAC
Answer #4
use Kaspersky (latest version on trail) as the 30days comes close us KRT to reset trial like said above
use malwarebytes (Detects and protects against malware in real-time)
also handy Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit (protects you from zero-day exploits targeting browser and application vulnerabilities)
Answer #5
Why mess with trial reset? I got KIS 5 device for $15 US from Newegg. Wait for the sales with promo codes.
Answer #6
My suggestion is Eset Smart Security, I love that one becuase it is not consume more memory and can be configured very easily and good cleaning and support.
Answer #7
I agree with .. Eset NODE32 as well as Malwarebytes is all you need.. been virus free for a couple of years (I think lol…).
