AMD ati radeon

i have dell laptop and ati radeon hd 5400 graphic card im trying to update driver witch is 2011 year…and i have problems… i went to ati download center i donwload atuo detect…and he detect me and dowload but not instal driver…everything do wll load time and everything after instal i press finish and when i look i have same 2011 driver ?? i try delete all ati drivers on comp and dowload specific driver for that graphic card and nothing works can somoeone help me ?
Drivers can be a real pain at times! It’s fight between the old ones, the new ones you want, and what Windows feels like installing!
(It was easier in XP).
What about Dell support, anything useful for you model there?
Don’t worry about too late a driver, like a beta, that’s usually only for latest games..
Another thing is right click Computer go Properties > Advanced system settings > Hardware >Device installation settings, and turn off driver updates from Windows Updates..At least that should stop Windows Updates from interfering !
A thought here, that if you do a driver uninstall, after running the uninstall, go to the device in device manager , right click, uninstall it and then reboot..
