If your Blu-ray player can play MKV files and if you can add a HDD to it then no prob , I do it myself.
EDIT: Opps sorry I made a mistake

you can plut them on a usb stick or external hard drive and play them from there in 3d if the file is not supported then convert it to avi using FLV to AVI

3D movies will play fine on your TV from USB stick or external HDD…..They can be mkv, mp4, avi, etc, no problems.
When you have TV in normal mode, you usually see 2 pix side by side (depending on the format)…But when you switch TV to 3D mode, you get one pix in 3D .
Tune in your glasses and enjoy!
Bluray player of course, should not be a problem either…..but you don’t normally need to burn downloaded movies because you play them straight from USB
Bluray is best for disks you buy or hire…Unless you want to want to D/L 25-50GB 3D stuff

id recommend not using the bluray player…I use to use MultiAVCHD and take 2 3D SBS Mkv’s about 8-10gb a piece and put them on a BD-R with a lil menu and like said I have a Samsung too and it will be SBS (side by side) usually and it will be 2 videos playing beside themself on your tv..but as soon as you hit the 3D button on your remote you can choose (2d-3d/left right merge/ top bottom merge) you will always choose the second one left right merge and it will make it one image…out on your glasses and enjoy the 3D..but honestly playing the MKV’s off a usb or hdd is alot easier

For get 3D unless your going for a 60″+ tv or a projector capable of 3D. Trust me the novelty wears off after a while and you’d wish you had a bigger tv to view 3d content on.
I have a 50″ 3D tv and wish i’d have gotten a projector. When you go to the cinema and watch 3D that is how 3d should be. I’d look at a 4K TV instead its a lot newer and will be the next best consumer product
