PLEASE I’m one of the most attentive in my class its just that my teacher gave us some holiday homework that we have not really learn yet and this is one of the questions.
Answer #3
try Wolfram|Alpha, they have answers to everything
Answer #4
The degree of the polynomial isn’t given?
Answer #5
iiamg:
f(x) = ax+b
(ax+b) / (x+1) = #### – 5 (ax+b) / (x+2) = @@@@@ + 7
[1] ax+b = a(x+1) – 5
[2] ax+b = a(x+2) + 7
ax + a – 5 = ax + 2a + 7
-> a = -12 [1] -12x+b = -12(x+1) – 5 = -12x-17
[2] -12x+b = -12(x+2) + 7 = -12x-17
-> b=-17 f(x) = -12x-17
f(x) / (x^2-x-2) = -12x-17 / (x^2-x-2)
-> WTF

iiamg:
The polynomial f(x) leaves remainder of -5 and 7 when divided by x+1 and x+2 respectively
f(x) = ax+b
(ax+b) / (x+1) = #### – 5 (ax+b) / (x+2) = @@@@@ + 7
[1] ax+b = a(x+1) – 5
[2] ax+b = a(x+2) + 7
ax + a – 5 = ax + 2a + 7
-> a = -12 [1] -12x+b = -12(x+1) – 5 = -12x-17
[2] -12x+b = -12(x+2) + 7 = -12x-17
-> b=-17 f(x) = -12x-17
Find the remainder when f(x) is divided by x^2-x-2
f(x) / (x^2-x-2) = -12x-17 / (x^2-x-2)
-> WTF
