Help me with my Audio device

i have got a problem with my audio device ….
problem is when i connect my headset in Front -Side …..
i have not get an sound found …..
when i connect back panel i got sound can any one tell me the reason for this ……
i installed the audio drivers ….my headset is working normally …all wires are connected to the front-panel….

i dont know how these things work, is it a second sound device? if it is check in your sound settings and change the default
