hp desktop 64 amd vista

i installed windows 7 pro 64 it work for a week and after a week it does not boot any more ,im only a newbie and im still learning …thank you

Could you be more specific? For example, you see the bios stuff when you turn the computer on, but then get a black screen, or you get an error message or you get a windows error ….

Boot with Windows 7 Install DVD..
on the screen just after you select the language..At the bottom of the screen..Select “Repair my Computer”

Will work provided the reason it isn’t booting is because some hardware has up and died, causing the computer to not even get past the bios boot

black screen, i run the sfc/scannow and i see number of root -1 caused found,everytime i reboot its always black screen the brand of my computer is HP AMD ATHLON 64X2DUAL CORE 5200
