Copying music to phone

Do I copy to the DCIM or download folder, music I want to listen to on my Android LG E460 phone? Copying from PC.

Copy to the phone memory card..
Connect your phone to to your PC with a usb cable and copy your music..

The solution was to copy to the “music” folder. What about videos?

There should be a music folder in both the root of the sd card or the internal storage If there isn’t, create one, and drag your music in there
Also, most music players will allow you to choose a source folder (where the music is stored), so as long as you have it somewhere on your phone, you should be able to listen to it
