Ipod music player app?

I dont like the music player on the ipod. I have some epic earphones but the sound quality is crap on the ipod but the same song will sound great on my MP3 player with the same earphones and I dont want to carry both things on me so I want to know is there any app that lets you play music on the ipod and also lets you tweak the sound settings?
